This petition is meant as an aim to curb the effects of droughts within the United States. Specifically by developing more effective desalination plants and other infrastructure investments as a means to produce an affordable water source. It is also meant to curb our dependency on dwindling fresh water sources, such as aquifers and above ground reservoirs.
