I would like to promote looking towards the future. Not just of Americans, not just this generation, but all people, for all time. Please consider Mars. Enabling a Mars Colony can, in the long term, potentially solve a variety of issues that plague us today - overpopulation and overcrowding; materials, energy, food and water shortages; reduced innovation and economic growth; and many other problems only tangentially related to moving people permanently off-planet. As Joshua Lyman would say "It's what's next."
