The FDA has recommended two options for President Obama consider to help the FDA implement newly bestowed regulatory powers over the premium cigar industry.
One of the two options (Option 1) could have crippling effects on the industry. This option could also hurt small business owners & their customers by driving up costs dramatically.This has the potential to grow the size of the federal government & increase taxes.
Premium cigars have been woven into America's history as far back as you can go & so far we've managed to strike a balance between protecting our youth from gaining access to tobacco through legal loopholes & upholding the freedom of adults to enjoy premium cigars without undue cost & regulation.
