How many of you know someone who happens to be homosexual? Think about how they look, how they sound, how important they are to you. Now imagine them dead or imprisoned for the rest of their lives just because they happen to be gay.
There are currently 76 countries with harsh and discriminating anti-gay laws. 5 of those countries have laws specifically condemning homosexual people to death if caught in any homosexual act. The other 71 countries have law that will imprison you for any homosexual act.
We have the finical aid influence there already to try to make change. We just need to make sure we are investing it properly and pressuring correctly.
I know some of our government already is pushing, but let them know we support and want more push towards the countries with anti-gay laws.
