Encourage the passage of an amendment to the U.S. Constitution allowing for direct election of the U.S. President.

We the people of the United States request that President Obama push for an amendment to the United States Constitution that will eliminate the Electoral College and allow for direct election of the U.S. President. We believe the Electoral College is an archiac process that allows for corruption by state legislatures and political parties and does not always represent the will of the people. Four times in our history a president has been elected without having the popular vote; most recently in the 2000 election. Passing such an amendment will ensure that our president is elected in a fair and democratic way.
