Too many police shootings have been explained as being the result of police officers thinking a person was armed and dangerous when the person wasn't armed at all. Michael Brown, Oscar Grant, the list goes on....
Specific training regarding when a person is armed or not and in particular situations needs to be addressed at the national level.
There needs to be accountability in this area, a police officer must follow specific protocols to ensure that these shooting don't happen.
