This petition is a mere request for the President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, to symbolically and ceremoniously adopted the Afro (a.k.a "the 'fro") as his choice of hairstyle.
While this may seem a trifling detail to a man tasked with the burden of leading the strongest and most prosperous nation in the history of the world, I speak for many when I say that symbols have a profound and deeply significant role to play in our society. Symbols are our identity, and serve to remind us of who we are, where we came from, and what we aspire to become.
By growing an Afro, Mr. President, you are setting a positive example for millions of our youth, who are in search of their own heritage and unique identities.
