Encourage state governments to make AP Calculus BC a high school graduation requirement and adjust curricula accordingly

The US needs to maintain its competitiveness in a world that is increasingly sci/tech oriented, especially against the EU, China, India, etc. Most recent sci/tech work and jobs regardless of specific field require the knowledge of calculus as a basic, and to that end encouraging state govs to require BC Calc as a high school requirement would introduce many teens to knowledge needed for sci occupations and encourage these teens to pursue STEM degrees and careers which we desperately need to fill to maintain our economic competitiveness. This petition could be implemented a la Race to the Top through providing state govs federal funds in exchange for enacting this vital reform, necessary for a future where the USA maintains its position as the strongest economy in the world.
