encourage states to adopt 'presumed consent' (opt-out) organ donation policies.

Created by B.S. on March 13, 2013

With the ever growing need for viable life-saving organ transplants our country should push for the adoption of a system in which individuals may opt-out as potential organ donors as opposed to the current system in which we each must opt-in.

It is a simple and effective way to increase organ donation which has already been proven in other countries such as France, Austria and Spain.

A few states have pursued this idea with little success. I believe higher visibility to this problem may help drive towards a solution which will ultimately benefit millions of people in need.
