Encourage states to establish a programming and cyber security curriculum for grades 8-12 by August 2015.

Created by J.W. on January 26, 2013

Schools across America should establish a curriculum that teaches programming and cyber security for students in grades 8-12.

Programming is in every industry around the world that uses computers for creation, communication, advertising, and distributing a product or service.

Cyber security will help to protect our children as more and more personal information is stored and passed on the internet.

The innovators of the technologic world we know today began programming at young ages:

Creator of Microsoft, Bill Gates - Middle School
Creator of Facebook, Marck Zuckerberg - Middle School
Co-founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak - High School

Those are just a few. Creation of this curriculum will open countless doors for our youth and create many jobs for newly graduated programmers.
