People on death row, who have committed heinous crimes, found guilty, and are being put to death can and should be used to save lives if possible. States should be encourages to use anesthesiologist to put the subject to sleep where the doctors can harvest organs that are vitally needed by other patients. There is a desperate need for organs to transplant into candidates and in their death maybe they can make up a small bit of what they did to help save lives.
