Encourage the states with unjust death penalty histories to create moratoriums or develop better systems of justice.

Created by C.S. on September 22, 2011

This petition is to bring to the attention the injustices that have plagued our judicial system for many years. The killing of innocent people has destroyed families, created a mistrust in our judicial system, and has caused heartache and pain in our communities. Amnesty International shares this at their website: "Since 1973, over 130 people have been released from death rows throughout the country due to evidence of their wrongful convictions. In 2003 alone, 10 wrongfully convicted defendants were released from death row." We have to do better in America to stop this.
