Electric vehicles, to date, are the most energy efficient and clean cars available on the market. Many people want to buy or lease the EV cars, but the technology, to date, still makes them out of reach. The $7,500 tax credit has helped, but a $10,000 federal rebate - at point of sale - would really encourage more people to buy.
