With the current suspension of DOD Tuition Assistance (TA), and long term budget cuts during upcoming years that will likely impact the coverage TA provides, it is in the best interest for all involved parties to create a program for reduced college tuition for U.S. military members.
Significant reductions in college tuition for U.S. military members will ensure they have the opportunity to obtain the degrees required for transition into the civilian sector upon completion of their service. Additionally, it will reduce the impact on the defense budget and aid programs such as the VA Jobs bill.
