encourage the words "responsibility" and "opportunity" be added to the Pledge of Allegiance

To better remind our children of their heritage, we should add the words "responsibility" and "opportunity" to the Pledge. Our children need to learn, at a young age, that liberty, and justice can only exist in a democracy, if people take responsibility for themselves, and the process of democracy. Participation is essential to obtaining democracy's highest calling of social equality, and respect for other people's lives, and property. Only with participation can justice be achieved through the courts, and on the streets through peaceful participation in group awareness demonstrations. This is a land of opportunity. We should be proud of what earlier generations have created, and sacrificed for. Each morning they should be reminded that with freedom comes responsibilities, and opportunity.
