We insist that the DoD stop providing excess military equipment to local police departments whose sole purpose is to eliminate an enemy, of which the American public does not fall into this category.
There is absolutely no reason for local police departments to be armed in this manner. Local police are Peace officers whose sole purpose is to serve and protect.
No local police department should be allowed to intimidate the general public, arrest and detain whomever they feel is a threat without due cause.
Our right to protest, our right to free assembly and our right to express ourselves is a basic freedom that will not and should not be infringed on.
