End the $2.13 per hour minimum wage for tipped workers.

The Federal minimum wage for tipped workers in $2.13. Employers are supposed to record tips and compensate workers if they do not earn at least $7.25 (the current minimum wage). Unfortunately there are several problems with this law. Not all employers are fair and honest. Some lie to employees about this rule, or make it difficult for workers to get their compensation. Many tipped workers serve at restaurants. Many people feel that a gratuity is only needed for exceptional service, or that if the kitchen takes too long to prepare the food that the waiter doesn't deserve a tip. Finally, $2.13 an hour is so far below the poverty level that any person earning it with no other resources would be forced to seek government aid, effectively trapping families in poverty despite their best effort
