End the 40 year war on drugs.

Created by T.E. on January 12, 2013

The war on drugs is lost. The casualties are over-crowded prisons, uncountable dead, mistrust of local police, and no statistical improvement in the US drug trade. It's time to decriminalize "illegal" drugs and spend that blood and treasure on education and rehabilitation. It is your body and you should be FREE to do with it as you wish. It should be the job of discouraging drug use by employing youth and other idle hands in interesting and socially relevant work and works of art. Stop paying police for their performance and rewarding questionable tactics. When we dedicate monies to a particular need, we promote corruption of data to ensure continued funding. Give parents the tools to raise their children to be resistant to drug use and incentivize good behavior over using prisons.
