During the 50's and 60's Cuba and the former USSR, were considered to be America's greatest threats to freedom. However, as we all know the USSR fell, and no Soviet missiles were ever fired at the US from Cuba. In turn, Cuba no longer receives aid from the former USSR. Cuba is no longer a threat to national security and as a result the 53 year old trade embargo against Cuba should be lifted.
