End the ability of government to raise their own pay.

Created by C.M. on November 07, 2011

Congress is required by Article I, Section 6, of the Constitution to determine its own pay. However, it is the belief of the undersigned that the administration should have an more equitable system for determining its pay. A pay system based on the income of the people they represent promotes incentive for the representative to work on legislation that promotes success in those same people as it will increase their own pay. We petition for a simple pay of 125% of the income level of the people they represent, adjusted for cost of living difference between the represented areas and where the representative lives, allowing for the pay rate to adjust according to the rising and falling of income levels of the people represented.
