The Cuba Embargo is petty, vindictive, ludicrous and pointless. It's absurd that a democratic government that prides itself as the "land of the free" can restrict the travel liberties of their citizens. One of the basic tenets of democracy is freedom. By restricting our travel liberties, are we that much better than Cuba?. It's hypocritical that US citizens can freely travel to countries such as North Korea, Vietnam, china, etc. These countries have displayed complete disregard for human rights, but US citizens can freely travel to these countries except Cuba. Why don't we place a traveling ban on all countries that violate human rights? Until every country is treated equally, this embargo should be lifted. It's hypocritical to the people of this country and to the people of Cuba.
