End Affirmative Action In College Acceptance

Politicians today believe that there is still a reason to consider race on college applications due to the low incomes families of minorities usually earn. Today colleges tend to go by a point system, adding points for minorities, giving them an unfair advantage. To help those in a low income area despite race, colleges should take the top ten percent of SAT/ACT scores from each high school district and round that average to 2400. In this way, students with the top SAT scores in their area will be awarded and those under will all curve up. By doing this, individuals in the top school systems would not be hurt by an unfair amount of points being added to their adversary's scores, but the top students in lower ranked school systems would still be able to rival their competition.
