Subsidies are paying the difference of production cost to market value to the farmers.
The subsides are keeping the smaller to middle sized farmers heads above water in a market that can't self regulate to real market value.
Let the citizens of America pay the real cost of agricultural products instead of simply shifting money around to make up the difference.
