to end all aid to Israel if it abandons the two state solution and continues expansion of settlements jeopardizing peace

Created by S.H. on December 25, 2012

An abandonment of the two state solution in Israel would end the prospect of peace in the Middle East and stability across the region. As Israel aggressively pursues an expansion of its settlements, including thousands in the last week - politicians there are are considering an open disavowal of an independent Palestine and an independent Israel. Such a policy could certainly lead to armed conflict which the United State would likely be drawn into. While Israel has every right to defend itself from terrorism and outside aggression - a right we should support - it does not have the right to make Palestinians second class citizens. If Israel is willing to risk war for an apartheid state, America should not risk its blood and treasure to defend egregious oppression.
