Only individuals should be able to contribute to elections, and the sizes of those donations should be limited at the federal, state and local levels. No corporations or other entities should be given the ability to influence elections by contributing to political campaigns except at the same level as individuals.
Donations to PACs should also be restricted, and donor lists/amounts should be available to the public. All those who wish to air commercials themselves should have to reveal who they are.
With today's ability to communicate, let the people speak. It is time corporations, other groups and the wealthy stopped influencing elections. Lobbyists will have no more of a voice than any citizen without donations to back them up.
