Recently the Pentagon opened military combat roles to women in a landmark decision. It was argued that females are already seeing combat and performing combat roles in recent wars regardless of their job descriptions. The decision to open combat roles to women is a great first step towards ending the inequality and double standards in the military.
However, there are still many double standards between males and females in the military that should be removed. It's already been shown that females can be called upon to fight and perform any role in the military as basis for recent decisions. Therefore, all inequalities in opportunity, testing, and standards in the military should be abolished to reflect reality and allow equal opportunity for females and males.
