Our government, in searching for ways to cut spending, continually look to cut Social Security and Medicare, programs many citizens in the United States depend on. We are demanding that our Government suspend all foreign aid payments until OUR debt is paid and in control.Why are we paying other countries when we cannot pay ourselves? At the same time, restrict pay of our Congress and Senate, keeping it at a level equivalent to pay scales from 1998. Our representatives have not done their jobs. Their lifetime benefits should be abolished and their retirement rolled over into the Social Security system. They should be relying on the same retirement and healthcare systems they are systematically dismantling. Future Congressional raises should be tied to performance.
