End all Government Funding of Animal Cruelty

Created by P.B. on March 03, 2013

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) is funding a company (Cytori Therapeutics, San Diego, CA) to conduct thermal burn and radiation burn testing on "large" animals.

Haven’t we reached a point in human decency that such cruelty to animals should be criminalized rather than sanctioned and funded by the U.S. Government? It is shocking to discover that in the 21st century such systemized cruelty still exists in our society and in our government institutions.

The majority of “scientific” testing on animals is unnecessary and methods that are more scientifically sound are almost always available.

We petition for a law to ban on all federal funding for scientific experimentation that inflicts harm upon animals.
