End all petitions on WhiteHouse.gov

Created by N.P. on February 03, 2014

We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, petition to end all petitions on WhiteHouse.gov. Though the right to petition is protected by the First Amendment, any right is limitable.

The endless list of useless petitions on WhiteHouse.gov do not help to promote civil, public discourse. Instead, many of these useless petitions - like seeking to prevent deportation of Justin Bieber and protecting marine mammals - merely diminish the significance of other valiant causes. Under the equal protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, if we seek to silence some of the voices here, we must silence all.

Please help to end meaningless petitioning of the government by voting to shut down all online petitions!
