end the antiquated 25 year importation law of vehicles.

Created by K.S. on March 18, 2016

Currently, in order to import a motor vehicle less than 25 years old into the United States the vehicle is required to meet specific criteria in order to enter the country. The vehicle must meet safety requirements as well as EPA standards. These requirements would force citizens to do extremely expensive crash tests and modifications
This law is counterproductive as newer cars are typically safer and produce less pollution. Therefore we request that the years required for a vehicle to be eligible for importation be reduced to 15 years.
