This petition is being proposed in answer to the recent news that the government of Afghanistan has passed and enacted new legislation that allows men to deny food and sustenance to their wives, if they refuse to obey their husbands' sexual demands. Women of any and all nationalities are not sexual play toys to be used and abused at the whim of their male counterparts and as such, the United States and our Citizenry should stand against this barbaric action by the nation of Afghanistan. Any and all financial, military and commercial support by the United States to the nation of Afghanistan should be immediately halted and severe economic sanctions imposed.
