End the Biggert Waters Act and abolish the National Flood Insurance Act and all provisions thereof

Created by C.S. on February 17, 2016

Millions of Americans who are trying to live on moderate incomes are burdened with the responsibility to purchase mandatory flood insurance. Some homes have never flooded since they were built, some homes are on streets that never flood, some homes are on canal systems that prevent the occurrence of flooding, but still all these homes are zoned in FEMA "high risk" areas where flood insurance is made mandatory. This is another way the government has catered to insurance companies and is forcing low and moderate income households into poverty by adding an additional burden. I am writing to petition to end the NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE ACT and BIGGERT-WATERS ACT and all provisions thereof. It is unconstitutional.
