All developed nations with the exception of the United States have already enacted legislation to end birthright citizenship. Having children who are born US citizens to parents who are here illegally creates problems with deportation for many families; however, amnesty is not the solution as it threatens the privileges reserved solely for legal residents and most importantly, citizens-- who, in theory, MUST be the highest priority at all times above all others for our government.
