A recent issue that ground level employees of many famous retailers and food services alike is being involuntarily forced or forced otherwise to work on thanksgiving for black Friday. Some employers make this a requirement to even be hired. This is an outrage and a disgrace upon our nation. I believe that either black friday should start ON the Friday following thanksgiving OR it should be COMPLETELY VOLUNTARY for the employee and not a condition of employment. Furthermore, I believe the government should intervene and enforce such a rule for employees to be able to enjoy ample time with their families on thanksgiving.
