Every night, every single night that I watch the news or turn on the television past 8 pm I always see at least a dozen or more violent acts- from shows that advocate stories about killing, torture, violence, and other filth- found on all networks. I think that shows should strive to reach a level of nothing past a PG rating. I do not want my 3 year old son to walk into my living room at 8 pm and see someone shooting another human being in the head with blood splattering in her home. I do not want to hear on the news about foster parents making their foster children perform sexual acts. Its absolutely discusting. Anyone can make the case for freedom of speech & press, but I would make the argument that there is a threshold that our society has passed. Discretion and censorship is needed.
