End the Carried Interest Tax Loophole, and make the Hedge Fund Managers Pay their Fair Share.

Created by A.H. on May 11, 2016

The gains from the recovery have gone straight to the wealthiest, the hedge fund and private equity managers. Economic inequality is at an all time high, and the rift continues to grow. President Obama can act to reduce it by instructing the Treasury Department to close the loophole. One estimate puts the potential revenue at $150 billion in 10 years. Multiple tax experts say the Treasury Department can act without Congress, in the same way corporate tax inversions were recently curbed.
