End Child Labor in American Agriculture.

There are 500,000 children working in unregulated conditions in the agriculture sector. Many people falsely believe that restricting child labor would harm farming, and many others don’t know that this serious issue exists. Without reform, many young children currently working on farms will be injured by heavy machinery, poisoned by pesticide, and unable to keep up with their peers in school. In fact, child agriculture workers die at a rate four times higher than other youth workers. The Children's Act for Responsible Employment, or CARE act, tried to reform child labor laws to end this, but lost White House support in 2009. Help persuade our government to reconsider it, to save the future of half a million children.
