As a high school student I am aware that colleges do give a slight edge to different people based on race. As a white male, some colleges do look for students who have similar records as mine, but would accept a different student who may be classified as a minority. This is simply because colleges aim to have diversity throughout the school. A college should not discriminate ANY RACE whether European, African, Asian etc. This does not only hurt whites, but it has an effect on every race based on the school. I.E. an Ivy league school would want to increase diversity by rejecting whites and admitting minorities, while some Catholic schools may hesitate to admit an Asian student for example. Race should not be asked on any college application or test, because race should not matter.
