Columbus Day is a federal holiday in the United States. Federal holidays honor the likes of Martin Luther King, Jr., George Washington, and our veterans.
Columbus was a slave trading torturer who dealt in the sexual abuse of children. To put him in the same light as many of our country's heroes is an embarrassment. Please sign and stop the remembrance of a legacy that should never have been honored in the first place.
