As a Highschool student, I know 1st hand, that common core is bad for education. I think schools should be allowed to teach their students with creativity, and originality. 9 + 6 should not take a minute to solve, it should take 2 seconds! The common core book is showing students how to waste a large amount of time, for a simple question. I find the old ways so much faster, and accurate. Many parents hate the common core, because they don't have a choice for their students to learn it or not, if they want their student to go to college. Because the SATs and ASTs are being reformed to fit the common core curriculum.
