End the conflicts that are costing this country trillions, cutback defense spending/waste, and fund job creation.

With the funds for wars, defense, closing foreign bases and Homeland Security diverted for infrastructure funding, the government can create jobs by replacing the current communication grid system. It's evident the current system of telephone poles and wiring will not withstand the next few decades, and need replacement now. I know for a fact since the seventies, these systems have been placed in smaller compact units in neighborhoods built during this time. At the same time, we can improve this sytem by adding broadband for everyone.
Most certainly our bridges, highways, water and gas lines need renovation as well, and this would create jobs right away. Afterall, we are building and maintaining other countries, when ours is falling apart. It will not continue to stand unless we act NOW.
