Congress has failed to act on behalf Americans in the recent budget cuts, yet continue to enjoy automatic pay raises and lucrative salaries. My premise is simple: regular Joe would be fired from his job if he were to pull the same stunts our Congress does; constant in-fighting, little to no productivity, all while having extravagant pay. Congress should be no different. Their constant mistakes have cost this country billions. It's time for Congress to make amends. I call for the immediate termination of automatic pay raises, as well as forfeiture of half their annual salary. The American people should not have to pay for work that was not done.
