Conversion therapy does not work. It makes LGBT people think badly about themselves, and it can even cause people to kill themselves or inflict harm on their bodies. Therefore, it should be illegal. LGBT people are twice as likely to commit suicide and conversion therapy is part of the reason. Being gay is not a mental illness and it's been proven that being gay or LGBT is not a mental illness. Conversion therapy is dangerous and is basically murder and/or child abuse. Like in California, conversion therapy should be outlawed everywhere in the United States.We all need to do our part by trying to prevent people from using conversion therapy.
