End Corporate Dominance by Creating a Better Consumer Protection Policy

Created by R.B. on October 18, 2011

Consumers are only protected from product defections that directly cause physical harm to a person. There is no protection for someone who is sold faulty products. Companies in the USA are able to get away with selling faulty product to US consumers and are not liable to solve the problem. A company is only bound by their own guaranties and warranties. This is extremely flawed because it allows companies to plant planned defects that come about right after a warranty expires. The consumer is then left defenseless.

We need to be better protected from the corporations by the creation of an act that will prevent companies from being able to get away with this. Companies should be required to repair or replace a faulty products if the products don't last a reasonable amount of time.
