The revolving door of appointees and employees between the FDA and big Pharma puts at risk the health of every American. Reviewers with financial and personal ties to the pharmaceutical industry are influenced by those ties in every review they make. They taint the science behind our medicines and our national assumptions about health.
These industry regulators have allowed the rules to be written so that they are not required to disclose all their conflicts, and so that much of the related research is not required to be published. Both of these issues are counter to good science.
Reform the rules -- require full disclosure of both conflicts of interest AND all related research in every case.
