end corporate personhood.

Created by M.M. on September 08, 2013

A person is subject to punishment as well as rights. A corporation can't be imprisoned or given a death sentence. It doesn't die from old age. More importantly, it doesn't have ONE mind. Giving corporations personhood gives the _people_ that run them additional rights that the rest of us don't have -- the rights of the individuals remain intact, but then they get to wield the corporation's rights like they were also theirs to wield. All pluses with no minuses. Further, the decisions of the CEO and Board may and will go against the wishes of many of the stockholders. Do we really want the Boards of corporations to be superhumans above the rest of we ordinary humans?
