End Corporate Personhood with regard to Campaign Contributions

Created by C.C. on September 22, 2011

Setting no restrictions on the amount of money an entity can contribute to a political campaign grants super wealthy corporations unfair influence over our government and elected officials.

If spending money is a form of free speech, it should be the "act" of spending money that is considered the speech, not the dollar amount. By not limiting the dollar amount an entity can contribute to a political campaign, The Supreme Court has created a direct relationship between one's wealth, and the strength of their views within the political arena. For most Americans, who lack the near limitless resources available to large corporations, their voices will continue to be ignored by Congress and The White House.

Freedom of Speech is not for sale.
