Gerrymandering is a practice that allows partisan governors to carve out politically safe, homogeneous districts for their party. It allows politicians to cater to a narrow subset American citizens, and what results is a House of Representatives that is ultimately unrepresentative of the people.
The Obama administration should take steps to remove the power of redistricting from the political parties that directly benefit from their manipulation.
