End the countless hours of homework

Created by K.W. on October 11, 2014

Everyday millions of children across the nation are falling asleep while completing their daily and mandatory homework tasks. After school, kids have many other activities to complete other than schoolwork. The majority of children participate in athletic sports, religious groups, or other activites several times a week after school. We should make sure that our children are well rounded in all that these activities have to offer. It is not to be argued that children need an education; has it been taken too far? These children are in classrooms from 7 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon, is that not enough time to complete their daily tasks? Adolescents need time away from their classroom responsibilities to wind down from the unmeetable expectations that we set for them.
