We, the people, demand the immediate release of all nonviolent offenders found guilty of possession of schedule 1 drug marijuana, as their incarceration is in direct conflict with the 8th amendment of the United States Constitution. The 8th amendment guarantees "Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted."
